He Hideth My Soul

Exodus 33:22 So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by.

Words: Fanny Crosby, in The Finest of Wheat, No. 1 (Chicago, Illinois: R. R. McCabe, 1890).

Music: William J. Kirkpatrick.

A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord,

A wonderful Savior to me;

He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock,

Where rivers of pleasure I see.

He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock

That shadows a dry, thirsty land;

He hideth my life with the depths of His love,

And covers me there with His hand,

And covers me there with His hand.

A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord,

He taketh my burden away;

He holdeth me up, and I shall not be moved,

He giveth me strength as my day.

He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock

That shadows a dry, thirsty land;

He hideth my life with the depths of His love,

And covers me there with His hand,

And covers me there with His hand.

With numberless blessings each moment He crowns,

And filled with His fullness divine,

I sing in my rapture, oh, glory to God

For such a Redeemer as mine!

He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock

That shadows a dry, thirsty land;

He hideth my life with the depths of His love,

And covers me there with His hand,

And covers me there with His hand.

When clothed in His brightness, transported I rise

To meet Him in clouds of the sky,

His perfect salvation, His wonderful love

I'll shout with the millions on high.

He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock

That shadows a dry, thirsty land;

He hideth my life with the depths of His love,

And covers me there with His hand,

And covers me there with His hand.

A World We Never Touch

Verse
He walked along the shores of Galilee
From clay He formed the healing balm
That caused the blind to see
When stones of wrath lay heavy in their hands
He knelt to write His mercy in the sand

Jesus came to set the captives free
Showed us by the way He lived
The way we need to be
Oh love is more than words could ever say
We must touch them with compassion
To help them find their way

Chorus
How can we reach a world we never touch?
How can we show them Christ
If we never show them love?
Just to say we care will never be enough
How can we reach a world we never touch?

Verse
Could we be so busy being saved
Trying to impress a world that's long since lost its way
We pride ourselves in being set apart
Yet we don't have time to touch a broken heart
Even if we found the time to care
Would we take the risk involved in always being there
Oh we hold the very thing they need so much
Sometimes the Word of life can pass
Through just a simple touch

Chorus

Bridge
We hide behind these walls
And the security of friends
While beyond the stained glass windows
The world is lost in sin

Music Review: God is Good

I would personally like to recommend this great CD! It is called "God is Good" by His Own. I have one other CD by this family, and it was such a blessing. So, at the Sword this year, they had a $5.00 special, and I grabbed this CD! It is such an encouragement! Plus, it is godly Christian music! None of that CCM junk! You can click the picture to listen to samples and purchase if you like. (Sorry, it is not $5.00, that was just a conference special!) This site offers great music and books!

The CD includes songs such as:
I Stand Redeemed (one of my favorites)
Do You Love Me?
It's Through the Blood
There's Still Power in the Blood
Soldiers Again
The Last Blood
Who Will Go To America?

If you listen to the playlist, this is a sample of the great harmony this family has! Enjoy!

Ladies' Spectacular!!!!!! With Patch the Pirate!!!!!

Yes, Everyone, I have seen Patch the Pirate, and for those of you without kids that is Ron Hamilton! It was so awesome to actually hear the songs and see him up there singing! IT WAS SO AWESOME! There is no other word to explain it! But anyway, here are a few pics and videos of my experience. Sorry the pics are not that great!

Patch the Pirate singing "Rejoice in the Lord." This song is where I got my

Life verse a long time ago! I love it!

Me, Mama, and Katie

(you can probably tell that we didn't get much sleep, plus I had already cried plenty!)

I really wish that more of our ladies could have gone this year! My heart was truly blessed. They spoke on many things that I needed. I truly needed to be refreshed and cleansed and just stepped on! Sometimes, we become so selfish that we think that no one goes through the same things we do, but it was so good to go and hear other ladies who have felt the same way and been through the same experiences. I can truly say that every message had something that I needed. But one thing that I was reminded of was that I need to make my walk with God personal! Meaning...I read my Bible and pray but I need to take time to get to know God, my Father on a personal basis, just like I have with my family, it should be even more so with my Lord. After all, didn't He save me? Give me Life? He loves me! Another thing was Mrs. Beverly Hyles reminded us how special we are. Sometimes, in the ministry, we start to feel that we are not special to any one and we go about our daily grind as if no one really cares, but I was reminded that Someone does--the Lord Jesus Christ! No matter if I had no one else in the world who cared anything for me, I will still have my Jesus! I am truly special to Him! There were so many other things. They covered so much but everything goes back to our relationship with God. Do we have a right relationship with him? Do I? Lord, help me to grow in you!

Good ol' Christian Music

There is nothing like good Christian music, and in the Christian life that is one important thing that every Christian needs to encourage themselves. Bible reading, your devotional life, prayer, and Christian fellowship, church attendance are more important, but the Bible tells us in Colossians 3:16, "Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."

There have been many times when I have been discouraged and listened to a spiritual song and had my heart encouraged and kept my eyes fixed on Jesus. It's from our hymns that new converts can learn the basic doctrine of the holiness of God, the Blood of Jesus, the Cross, and the resurrection of our Lord, etc. Also, it is one way for us to praise the Lord for what He has done for us. Ephesians 5:19-20, "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."

How do I know what is the right kind of music? As Christians, we must use the doctrine of replacement! When we were unsaved, we listened to the world's music, but the Bible says that now we are new creatures, old things are passed away, ALL THINGS ARE NEW! (2 Corinthians 5:17) The easiest way to determine if my music is right or up to God's standard is to compare it to the world's standard. Does it have the worldly beat of the rock music or country music? Does it cause me to want to move in a wrong way? Does it cause me to have fleshly desires? If I take the words away from a Christian Contemporary song, can you tell whether it is a Christian song? Is there a doubt? If there is a doubt don't do it! Now that you have determined what is right or wrong...or if you can't figure that out, ask your pastor to listen your music! Also, if you are ashamed for your pastor or Sunday school teacher or someone in spiritual authority in your life to listen to your music, something should be ringing a bell!
So where do I find good music? actually I'd like to say GREAT music! The video above is a group from West Coast Baptist College, called Streams in the Desert. You can find great music from there school by clicking the link. Also, Faith Music Missions is a great source for GREAT music and also Great books! One more is Majesty Music!
Encourage yourself in the Lord today!

For Your Enjoyment!
