God's Been Good Monday

Great is thy faithfulness, O God my father
There is no shadow of turning with Thee
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
As Thou hast been, Thou for ever will be

Great is thy faithfulness
Great is thy faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed thy hand hath provided
Great is thy faithfulness, Lord unto me

Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To thy great faithfulness, mercy and love

Great is thy faithfulness
Great is thy faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed thy hand hath provided
Great is thy faithfulness, Lord unto me

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside

Great is thy faithfulness
Great is thy faithfulness
All I have needed thy hand hath provided
Great is thy faithfulness, Lord unto me

God's Been Good Monday...falling in love...

No, I have not yet fallen in love with the man of my dreams, but today, I have so many things running through my mind, but mama and I were talking today while we were working in the yard...she asked me if I told the Lord that I love Him everyday...and I do, but I started thinking...have I fallen in love with the Lord? Do I really love Him?

The Bible says in I John 4:19, "We love Him, because He first loved us." That whole chapter covers the subject of love. Verse 10, "Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins." Verse 11 says, "Beloved, if God so love us, we ought also to love one another." Verse 20, "If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?"

Do you love God? Reading verse 20, do you not love your fellow man? Is there someone that has hurt you, and you have refused to forgive them? How can you love God with this in your heart?

But this is really not what has convicted me...Jesus has done all for me, yet I have failed to love Him as I should. If I loved Him as I should, I would not do the things that I do to hurt Him. Do you realize that every time you have a fear, that you are doubting His love? Do I realize this? Do you realize that every time you break one of His great laws that you are breaking His heart? Do I? Do you realize every time that every time you are hurtful that you are hurting Him? Do I?

I am not saying that we are going to be perfect, but if we love the Lord, we should strive to do all that we can to please Him even more so than we would for a earthly lover. Isn't God so good to keep loving us no matter how much we love or don't love Him?

God's Been Good Monday

This Monday, I want to share a verse that I heard at a graduation this past weekend.

Psalms 18:19, "He brought me forth also into a large place; He delivered me, because He delighted in me."

Isn't that an awesome thought? That he delights in me! When someone loves someone, they delight in them. They want to make them happy, they want to please them. Jesus delights in us...He wants us to be happy, He wants to make us happy, He loves us so much...He delights in us. God is so good.

God's Been Good

The Lord has been so good. This song is where I got the theme for my blog. Mrs. Kay Chandler does a wonderful job singing this song. Sometimes we become so ungrateful. We seem to forget all that He has done for us! From the hard time to the easy times, God is ever faithful! One part of this song, where it says, "though I've had my share of hard times, I wouldn't change them if I could" sometimes that is so hard to see, but it is during those times that we see God working in our lives, when we see His goodness. We see His working in our lives where during our easy times we tend to forget just how much He has done for us! Oh, praise the Lord, for His goodness!

For Your Enjoyment!
