Something that the Pastor from Costa Rica said today, "You serve a small God!" Have you ever had a phrase stick out in your mind?
Well, that phrase has stuck in my mind! We were talking about something, saying we couldn't do that or something, then he said, "You serve a small God!"
Maybe that is what is wrong...we are making God small. We limit the very power of God upon our lives. I remembered a video that a friend of mine showed me of her church back home in the Philippines, and how they had over 10,000 in attendance, and how the Lord was truly working in their church. I thought, Why can't we have something like that happen here in our church? Why is the Lord not working? But in reality...God can do all those things...it may not be His will for our church to have 10,000 in attendance for a special Sunday...but God can do it! He can answer my prayers....why make God small? He is more than able to answer my smallest or my largest prayers. I serve a mighty God! (Another thing, if we serve a mighty and great God, why don't we put forth our best effort in serving Him? We seem to serve Him half-heartedly...but that is another post for another time...)
Right now, we are specifically praying that the Lord will send revival to our family and church. For the past week, we have started 40 days of prayer for revival. 40 people in our church have one day to pray for an hour specifically for revival in our church and in their lives! So, I'm asking you, my blog friends, to pray. Pray for revival in your own lives, for revival in your church, and please pray for revival in our lives here!
Matthew 18:19-20 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
I am also giving the link to the video that I mentioned at the top. It is about a 12 minute video, but it is well worth it! Click here!
