What are you thinking on?

I have been wanting to do a new post on the heart, but this was the topic of our prayer meeting tonight. So, I thought that I would just share some thoughts with ya'll. Hope its an encouragement!

Philippians 4:5-9
5Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
6Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
9Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

During the past Wednesday night prayer meetings, daddy has been preaching a Bible study on Proverbs. Tonight, he started a study on Purity. Today, in the world that we live in, we are constantly flooded with impure propaganda, television, movies, books, billboards, the list could go on and on. It is the norm to live an impure life. We as ladies are just as susceptible to falling as a man is to falling.

I know you are probably thinking, "I'm a pretty good Christian, I'm not going to lose my purity, I'm not going to be "alone" with another man." We are all capable of falling, and the first place that Satan attacks is the mind. We may never fail physically, but how are you mentally? Have you failed in your thought life? I am talking to myself as much as I am speaking to any other person. Let us go to the Lord and ask forgiveness for the times we have failed the Lord in our thought life, and then, ask Him to help us set a guard on our mind and heart. Let us think on..."whatsoever things are pure....lovely...think on these things."
